01 / Reason for withdrawal

The reference assembly used to calibrate L-22 was damaged during an unrelated workshop move. Its most recent independent check cannot be recovered. The panel still responds to the six bench profiles recorded in its last run. Repeating those profiles against the same surviving reference would not restore the lost independence.

02 / Disposition

Remove L-22 from the active specimen register and retain it in a passive fixture. It may be used for destructive examination after Material Behavior approves a separate work order. Its learned response is not to be copied into an operational replacement with an intact-calibration label. The replacement must acquire its own evidence.

03 / Custody correction

The initial instruction called for the calibration packet to be destroyed on removal from the active register. The Records Office identified that packet as evidence needed for later examination. The instruction has been corrected to require transfer to inactive custody. The packet had not been destroyed; the correction changes the disposition, not the panel’s status.
