Service to the lower gallery
The upper dining room closes for ventilation work. The lower gallery remains on the meal round.

01 / Temporary arrangements
From 3 to 7 August, breakfast and the evening meal will be served in the east meeting room. The upper dining room is closed for ventilation work. Please return trays to the collection point outside the meeting room, not to the closed kitchen doors. The contractor requires that passage to remain clear.
02 / Lower-gallery delivery
The ordinary meal round to the lower gallery will continue. Two instrument custodians are supervising an extended calibration hold in Witness Hall. A pause in observation cannot be made up by starting the clock again. Meals should be left with the duty custodian; catering staff are not required to enter the bays.
03 / Service register correction
The earlier register described the lower gallery as unoccupied because no office allocation was active there. Temporary instrument custody was recorded in a separate schedule. Facilities has corrected the occupancy field and retained the earlier entry in the service log. No meal deliveries were missed under the temporary arrangement.
