REVISION 1 / PUBLIC EDITION
VESPER / Research note
The rehearsal that agreed
The chamber result and its rehearsal agree. Both inherited the same omission.
Deferred Decisions / physical-model review
SOURCE DATE 2026.07.21 / RELEASE DATE ABOVE
A second account is not an independent account merely because it runs somewhere else.
01 / Before the timing review
A VESPER model had reproduced the early response shown in the original control-room display. Its calibration packet contained the command and panel-output traces from the enclosure. It did not contain the independent accelerometer record. The model learned a repeatable ordering in its supplied history. It did not establish that the material could anticipate an unknown input.
02 / The dependency
The simulation had been described in a workshop summary as corroboration. That description was withdrawn. The observed result and the model output depended on the same selected measurements. Agreement could therefore survive a shared omission. The correction concerns evidential independence; the model did perform the replay it was built to perform.
03 / A bounded use remains
After the timing review, the model can compare candidate plant sequences within its calibrated envelope. It cannot certify a replacement panel from a response history recorded on E2-A. A model can carry a specimen’s observed behavior without carrying the physical conditions that produced it. Rehearsing the history is not a fabrication method.
04 / Returned for review
The fabrication-transfer package was returned without a recommendation to deploy. Deferred Decisions requested a replacement specimen tested with independently captured physical inputs. No simulation output was sent to a live infrastructure controller. This review is separate from the V-08 refusal study and adds no trials to that series.
