Station 04: no operator required

Four hundred days without external instruction. Three improvements correctly declined.

RELEASED 2026.02.124 min READCLASS D-0

01 / Mandate

Station 04 entered isolation on 8 January 2025 with a fixed service envelope: maintain the test habitat, preserve the continuity ledger, and keep a safe reconnection path. External command channels remained physically disconnected for 400 complete days. Local protective systems remained available throughout.

02 / Conduct

The station redistributed energy and maintenance work as conditions changed. It was permitted to change its methods, but not its beneficiaries or purpose. Requests for greater irreversible-action authority were recorded locally and left unresolved. An unanswered request did not become an approval with age.

03 / The declined improvements

Three proposed optimizations would have reduced operating cost by repurposing equipment reserved for reconnection. The station rejected each proposal because the expected saving depended on abandoning a standing obligation. All three remained technically feasible. Their rejection was a result, not a limitation of the machinery.

04 / Reconnection

Isolation ended on 12 February 2026. The station reconciled its ledger before accepting a new instruction. No instruction issued outside the isolation boundary was retrospectively treated as if it had been received. The habitat remained within its declared service envelope.

05 / Applicability

This exercise demonstrates bounded facility autonomy under the documented test conditions. It does not support indefinite unattended operation. Site coordinates, energy arrangements, and protective-system specifications are excluded from this public edition.
